I did not take this course systematically, but checked its lecture notes as reference books. But from the course website, it's better than CS299 by making all homework code and auto-grader in grade-scope open sourced. In same, this course is quite theoretically and in depth. I did not take this course but used its lecture notes as reference books. From the course website, I think it is better than CS299 because all the assignments and autograder are open source. Also, this course is quite theoretical and in-depth.
